What not to miss:
-
Drive the Cabot Trail – it’s a world-famous coastal drive!
-
It’s a 180 mile driving loop in the North of Nova Scotia that passes through parts of Highland National Park. Hop on it wherever you can and just enjoy the gorgeous scenery or drive the entire Cabot Trail (I highly recommend this!)
-
-
Wreck Cove General Store: famous lobster sandwich here & antique looking gift shop.
-
Hiking around the Cabot Trail: Middle Head Hiking Trail, Franey Trail, Skyline Trail (make sure to walk the boardwalk here)
-
Black Brook Cove Beach & waterfall
-
Halifax Capital City: walk the boardwalk- one of the world’s largest boardwalks
-
Peggy’s Cove & famous lighthouse- climb on the large rocks on the coast
-
Lunenburg UNESCO town
-
Burntcoat Head Park: on the Bay of Fundy- watch sunset here/ watch the tide coming in and out
-
Luckett famous phone box in the middle of the Vineyards
Tips:
-
Eat seafood every day! It’s always fresh from the coast!
-
Rent a car! Road tripping this province is the best way to see a lot of it! Plus driving the World-Famous Cabot Trail!
-
Drive on the coast as much as you can! It’s gorgeous!
-
Go to Peggy’s Cove early in the morning! It’s VERY touristy and you will see hundreds of people (just a heads up)
-
If you have time (I didn’t), after visiting Lunenburg, continue driving West to the town of Digby- eat Digby scallops there. Then drive through Annapolis Valley to Scott’s Bay .
