Day 0: I took the overnight ferry from Channel-Port aux Basques, NFLD to Syndey Port, Nova Scotia.
Day 1: half of Cabot Trail

I drove the World Famous Cabot Trail (185 miles total) counterclockwise

Wreck Cove General Store: get the lobster sandwich here and eat it at the next place

Cape Smokey Provincial Park/ picnic area – eat the lobster sandwich here!

21 min to Middle Head Hiking Trail for easy 2.4 mile hike – gorgeous 1.5 hr walk!

Few min to Franey Trail head (strenuous 4.6 mile hike)- amazing views at the top!

23 min to Black Brook Cove Beach/ climb the large red rocks to see the waterfall (at the end of the beach on the left if you are facing the water- it’s hidden)

34 min to White Point Harbor- fishing village

Drove to White Point Harbor via Neil’s Harbor- pretty coastal driving!

Ate dinner at Angies Family Restaurant – highly recommend! (I had the lobster fettuccini- you have to eat plenty of seafood when you are on the coast!)

Stayed overnight at the Highlands Hostel: highly recommend!

Day 2: Finished other half of Cabot Trail
​

From hostel, 46 min to hike the Skyline Trail- make sure to walk the boardwalk too! (2.5 hour loop, 4.6 miles)

Drove to Victoria Park- beautiful park with a creek, few waterfalls, few walking trails

Drove to Halifax with a few scenic stops along the way

Halifax: walk one of the world’s largest boardwalks (lots of bars and restaurants along there), free public gardens, Citadel National historic site

Day 3: Nova Scotia

Town of Peggy’s Cove- famous lighthouse/ go early in the morning because it’s VERY touristy and gets way too busy around lunch & after…

Drive 1 hour to Lunenburg UNESCO town – cute little town on the water, little boardwalk & harbor with ships- I walked around here while eating my homemade strawberry ice cream from Sweet Treats!

Halls harbor: tiny little harbor with restaurant there- it was on the way or else I probably wouldn’t have come here- nothing really here.

28 min to Scott’s bay: rocky beach, pretty for sunset

36 min to Luckett famous phone box in the middle of the vineyards (closes at 6pm)- I got here after it closed but I still walked around the vineyards- very pretty!

1 hour to Burntcoat Head Park: on the Bay of Fundy- perfect sunset place! Or to watch the tide coming in and out here.

Stayed at an Airbnb in Sackville (highly recommend this place- ask me for details)
Day 4: Prince Edward Island Day 1

Drive over Confederation Bridge (12.9 km long bridge), drive around counterclockwise, start in mid central PEI

The bridge costs $33 USD on the way back over to New Brunswick

I drove the Eastern part of PEI today (2nd day is Western part of PEI)

14 min to Victoria-by-the-Sea: cute little town on the coast with shops/ restaurants

14 min to Argyle Shore Provincial Park: red sand beach- I relaxed on the beach for a while and watched the tide come in – very pretty area!

Cape Bear Lighthouse

Ate fresh seafood dinner at Rick’s Fish & Chips Restaurant

I skipped East Point Lighthouse and Shipwreck Lighthouses (I ran out of time; if you have time, you might want to go check them out!)

Greenwich in Prince Edward Island National Park: I walked 45 min on the woods trail to the boardwalk to the floating boardwalk to the pink sand dunes to the beach- gorgeous area!

Saw the Dalvay-by-the-Sea National Historic Site

Day 5: Prince Edward Island Day 2

Dunes Studio Gallery & Café: the art in the back of this place was gorgeous and so unique- definitely check it out!

Cavendish Beach: gorgeous beach! There’s a trail along the beach too!

Cedar Dunes Provincial Park: pretty black and white stripped lighthouse- it was my favorite one!

Day 6: New Brunswick

Watch sunrise at the 7 mile Dune early in am! Then drive 1 hour 20 min to Hopewell Rocks Park

Irving Eco-Centre: La Dune de Bouctouche- the dune that is 7 miles long

I did not do this – I had a kayaking tour early in the morning at Hopewell Rocks Park instead

Hopewell Rocks Park: open 8am-8pm/ be there for high and low tide – check the tide schedule before planning your trip!

I did a kayak tour through the rocks through Baymount Outdoor Adventures

Check out the mud flats! It’s a lookout close to the interpretive center

Ate lunch at Alma Lobster Shop then went to Kelly’s Bake shop for their famous stickybuns! (both are famous places to eat!)

Fundy National Park: $7.80 Canadian admission fee

Dickson Falls Trailhead (45 min loop track) in Fundy National Park of Canada

Swam in the outdoor heated saltwater pool that overlooked the Bay of Fundy! Such a cool experience!

If I had more time, I would have done more hiking here!

Drive via the Fundy Trail Parkway to St. Martins sea caves
-
St. Martins sea caves: iconic red rock cliffs and mysterious sea caves – at low tide you can walk through them!

Eat the world-famous seafood chowder there!

Drove through Fundy National Park and stopped at a few overlook points- gorgeous park!

Park gets gated closed at 8pm, so you must be out before then.

Drove to St. John’s- Airbnb there for the night.

Day 7: New Brunswick

Reversing Falls: happens twice daily at high tide (the Fundy waters roar into the Saint John River, causing a titanic clash/ see if from the rooftop skywalk- the steel and glass observation platform extends 28 feet out over the river (pay an admission fee) or from the overlook

Check the tide schedule before going (I was only there during low tide, so it was more of a whirlpool- it still was a pretty bridge and view!

Lepreau Falls: very pretty layered creek and red rock waterfalls!

St. Andrews:

Kingsbrae Gardens in St. Andrews – one of Canada’s top Botanical Gardens (admission fee to get in)

Saint Andrews Blockhouse = national historic site

Drive on the ocean floor from the Saint Andrews’ mainland to Ministers Island at low tide: you can only spend a couple hours here each day at low tide- check the tide times the day before so you know when you can drive across! There is a $15 Canadian fee once you get over to Ministers Island- there is a lot of historical museums/ buildings to explore on the Island!
