Prince Edward Island (PEI)
Currency:
-
I USD = 1.31 Canadian Dollars (as of Fall, 2019)
-
Similar price as traveling in the USA.

Who to travel with:
-
I traveled here solo, but you can do groups too!
-
It is a safe province!

What not to miss:
-
Red sand beaches: Argyle Shore Provincial Park, Cavendish Beach – highly recommend both!
-
Lighthouses: there are SO many on this Island! My favorite lighthouse was a black & white striped one in Cedar Dunes Provincial Park!
-
Charlottetown: capital of PEI
-
Greenwich in Prince Edward Island National Park: floating boardwalk and sand dunes are must see things here!
-
Dunes Studio Gallery & Café
-
Anne of Green Gables: there is a Heritage Site in Cavendish and a Museum at Silver Bush- they are at different locations but both in the North

Tips:
-
You can see this whole province in 2 days: I drove around it counterclockwise, but it does not matter which way you want to drive it
-
The Confederation Bridge costs $33 USD on your way back to New Brunswick. So don’t go to PEI and come back in 1 day just to go back again the next day because you will have to pay twice. Stay the night there.
-
PEI is a gorgeous island for a little more relaxation- beautiful red sand beaches & good restaurants!
Vaccines: no extra vaccines needed as long as you are up to date. Ask your doctor.
Visa: none required as long as you are a US citizen, but you still need a Passport!
